Challenge
A carbon capture start-up was developing a system to recover gases from one of Europe’s largest lime factories. The project required reliable automation to handle complex processes, integrate with an existing large plant, and ensure continuous, safe operation—critical for scaling their innovative technology.

Solution
We delivered a comprehensive automation solution to support the start-up’s cutting-edge system:

  • Main PLC: 1x Siemens S7-1513-1 for precise process control.

  • Remote I/O: 1x ET200SP for distributed control integration.

  • HMIs: 2x Siemens TP1500 Comfort Panels for clear operator interfaces.

  • Drives: 3x 5-30kW G120C variable-speed drives for accurate motor control.

  • Cloud-Based Data Logging: Enabled remote monitoring and analysis of system performance.

  • Integration: Seamless connection with the existing large-scale plant infrastructure.

Our Role
We handled PLC programming, HMI development, drive configuration, cloud data integration, and full system integration into the existing facility. Our work enabled the start-up to deploy their innovative carbon capture solution safely, efficiently, and at scale.
